To those wondering about PharmD

Relax. You all sound like solid candidates.

At the end of my junior year, I had a 2.96 cumulative GPA. I got involved with some bad stuff, and my GPA dropped more than a full point from a 3.8 my sophomore year. I was in the top 15% of my class because of AP/honors classes, but a 2.96 can pretty much speak for itself. I had fairly strong SAT scores (710 math, 700 CR, 700 writing), but there was nothing else spectacular about me.

I applied regular decision and got in, with a half-tuition scholarship. And I’ll be attending Northeastern in the fall. How it all happened, I have no clue.

What I’m trying to say is, you guys shouldn’t be worrying. Honestly, there was nothing stellar about my application, but Northeastern decided to give me a chance. There are so many factors in college admissions that can’t be pinpointed. So try to relax (I know it’s hard) and best of luck.

Monomania,

You had a 1410 SAT Score (nice job!) No doubt, this more than made up for less your than stellar GPA. Your high test score combined with your class rank and AP/ honors coursework certainly made you a competitive candidate. You’re obviously bright! So I wouldn’t exactly say that Northeastern was taking a chance on you. Congrats on your scholarship!!!
