To What Extent (Debt)?

<p>This doesn’t necessarily apply to me, but my friend got accepted to NYU, and he wants to go there, but he will definitely have to take out a loan. I told him to go to his state school, because he’d better be off there. Then, I thought, for how much debt should one be willing to go to NYU. I thought $80,000 would be the limit, but what does everyone has think?</p>

<p>For me personally, $20k max in debt, and even that number would vary with major / career choice</p>
