I was lucky enough to be selected as a Bronfman fellow for this coming summer/year, and I was wondering how much is helps when applying to college. To clarify, college admissions isn’t why I applied to Bronfman at all, but many people have been telling me it’s a “ticket to college.” I doubt it’s really an automatic in to an elite school, but to what extent does it help?
I think it’s certainly an impressive achievement that would be on par with a national academic award. Not sure I would go as far as saying it’s a “ticket to college” but it’s a nice feather in the cap. Congratulations.
