<p>I don’t believe they do. I think they take your word for it. Maybe if something doesn’t match up then it sounds a bit sketchy. they can’t check up on people with 20,000 applications. There isn’t enough time in a year.</p>
<p>For general admissions, probably not. However, if your application gets stuck into some scholarship pile or direct admit, other departments might take a peek and see if they can dig up any more information on you. </p>
<p>Remember that you’ll get some trouble if they find that you’re lying on your application.</p>
