To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

This year my school’s val got into Oxford (UK), Princeton, Upenn, and UChicago. He’s going to Oxford on a full ride.
Last year, val went to Princeton.
The year before, the val went WashU.
I think that the year before, the val went to Stanford.

Our Val got accepted into Harvard. She’s also one of my best friends, so I am so excited for her!! She’s wanted to go for such a long time, and definitely deserves it!

I am the valedictorian this year, and I am pretty sure at this point that I am going to Stanford.

Our school has six valedictorians, including me. I’ll list, noting race alongside if it was an admissions process benefit for the student, as well as where they are going if they have chosen. It will exclude safeties, since those are boring:

Yale, Dartmouth, Northwestern

Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, Claremont McKenna (African-American) - Stanford

Amherst, Northwestern, Claremont McKenna

Brown, UCLA, USC (Hispanic)

USF - USF

Whitman - Whitman

^^ I think the fact that they’re vals is a pretty good “admissions process benefit for the student” regardless of race…

One of our vals this year will be attending a top public instate, the other will be going to Princeton.

Last years… well all I know is that the Valedictorian (just one) was supposed to be an awesome person who everyone adored (didn’t know them myself).

Anyway, she got waitlisted into MIT, while I’m not sure what became of that she decided to go to Harvey Mudd on a great scholarship.

No idea about other schools.

We had a lot of Vals up for the running until a couple of them got one B due to the lack of participation in classes.

'09 Val (my friend) - Princeton

Our top ranked students: Princeton, Yale, MIT, Cal Tech, Harvey Mudd, Northwestern, Cornell, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Berkeley regents scholarship.

We have numerous (read: over 15 last year) vals every year. I don’t know exactly who they are, but know that we have at least 5 acceptances each (or so) for HYPS, lots for Berkeley, a couple for MIT.

Valedictorian is going to University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

My school had like 20 valedictorians…the system was pretty wack.

And our Valedictorian, my daughter, is going to the U of Richmond.

No ranks over here at our school, but our unofficial “val” is going to Brown PLME.

2009
Val - MIT
Sal - UPenn
2008
Val - Yale
Sal - Brown
2007
Val - Harvard
Sal - Columbia

Our val got into hyp

Unlike stereotypical asians, they are all sporty and social.
From what I remember:
1- havard, princeton, MIT, upenn, texas, vandy (that huge scholarship)
2- yale, princeton, MIT, pomona
3- stanford, princeton (2 and 3 are best buds)
4,5,6- Berkleys, washU
7- Northwestern
8- JHU

And several non val got in good schools
One in columbia and uchicago
one in columbia, uchicago, brown
two in northwestern
5+ in michigan

Our class sucks. We are going to see 2 ivies tops.

Their standardized test scores weren’t as great as the valedictorian standing indicated.

Last year’s validictorian went to UCF( University of Central Florida). This year’s validictorian is going to UF(University of Florida).

At our school, most people are obsessed with Florida schools. It’s extremely rare for someone to get accepted to an ivey league or really competitive private school.

same here theos
i’m 3 minutes from ucf

val this year: UF
sal: UCF

Theos Rizos- Your history of not sending grads to top schools may be a result of spelling IVY wrong in your essay. Just kidding around bud.
