To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

I am my school’s valedictorian; accepted at JHU, Notre Dame, UVA, Columbia, and several safeties (northeastern and Boston u) choosing to attend UVA

val: emory

sal: harvard, stanford, yale, princeton, mit, columbia, well…literally every school he applied to.

He’s going to Stanford, but probably got in anywhere. In addition to being a genius, he’s the fastest cross country runner in the state and his entire family is also made up of geniuses who have legacy everywhere (his older brother’s a sophomore at Yale and grading papers for the highest math class at Yale, he was also the top cross country runner in the state, his younger brother, a high school freshman, was our academic bowl team’s MVP and has posted the lowest mile time ever for a freshman). Craziness…

My school (I am an upcoming Senior)
Valedictorian High School Class of 2011 = MIT

Pretty much the top ten in my class are going to the University of Florida on Full Scholarships (including myself #4)

That’s REALLY impressive (the first 4 are some of the hardest to get into, and Cornell is no joke, I’m not sure about the rest). What are his/her stats like?

The valedictorian only got into UC Berkeley, Cornell, and some other schools, but there was a kid that was accepted into both Stanford, MIT, and Harvard- with his only backup being USC [which he also got]. He’s going to stanford.

Swarthmore is more selective than Cornell, jsyk.

^I didn’t know what those last 4 colleges were, I’m sure they are good schools too, and that’s not really surprising since Cornell has a relatively high acceptance rate.

Valedictorian: Caltech, Princeton.
She’s going to Caltech.

Both the valedictorian and the salutatorian this year are going to Brown (the salutatorian got into PLME). I’m not sure what other schools they got into.

What were his stats like? It’s rare to see someone who gets into every single one of HYSPM.

I couldn’t even name all the schools our valedictorians got accepted to…because we had 14 valedictorians. Not because we have a ton of geniuses, but because my school’s curriculum is pathetic.

Our salutatorian went to Hillsdale though, only had one of those! Lol.

There were 3 vals but I’m not entirely sure about their full list of acceptances so here’s a partial one.

Harvard, MIT, Yale. Rejected from Stanford, Princeton.

Harvard, MIT, and a few others I’m not sure about.

I don’t know.

The majority of people from my school (including the Val and Sal) usually end up going to in-state/local colleges like UF, FSU or USF. I’m hoping to change that when I graduate.

This year, both the Val and Sal were accepted and are attending the University of Florida on generous scholarships.

Our valedictorian is going to Harvard but also got accepted to Stanford and all the UCs

I know one who is going to Drexel

Ok. I got my post wrong. my class is about 500 people and the val title is given to GPAs of above 4.0, about 50 of us. Our top GPA is, in fact, going to UVA. 2 and 3 are both Harvard.

Valedictorian heading to Stanford.

My school doesn’t rank but a few kids are going to top universities (this is where they’re going, not where they got admitted)

 • Harvard x2
 • Princeton
 • Stanford
 • Columbia
 • Oxford University (England)
 • Wash U (full ride)
 • Brown
 • Dartmouth
 • UC Berkeley
 • Emory
 • Wesleyan
 • University of Michigan x80
 • UCLA x2
 • Penn
 • MIT x3
 • Notre Dame

^Holy crap. We have 3 Princetons. You’ve got a ton of multiples, that’s kind of rare.
