Val: (me ( MIT and Caltech
Sal: Rice

Whoo, post #1601!

I have no clue who he is and where he will go.
The king of prefects (head) and the winner of this other special prize (we get a couple of special prizes, and valedictorian is one of them) is going to Princeton.
This other guy is going to Wharton. Another guy is going to Harvard.
Seriously, itās sad I have know clue who the the valedictorian is.

Val was accepted to WPI, RPI, UMass Amherst, and not sure where else. He will be attending UMass Amherst.
Sal was accepted to Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, WPI, and not sure where else. She will be going to WPI
3rd was waitlisted at Boston College, Holy Cross; accepted to Fairfield University, Assumption College, and Providence College. She will be attending Providence College.

Somewhere in the top 15 we have a student attending Bowdoin and another attending Columbia. A guy is going to Wake Forest to play baseball.

1: UMiami Full Ride. Also accepted to Duke and some other med programs.

2: UNC

3: Duke

4: WashU

5: Northestern

6: Northwestern

7: NC State Parks Scholar (also accepted to Johns Hopkins)

19: UChicago

Idk the rest.
Also have a few more NWU, Dukes, Cornell, Berkeleys, and some others. Many (around 60) are going to UNC Chapel Hill, our state school.

Carnegie Mellon for cs

The valedictorians from our high school last year have selected to attend:

Arizona State

Harvard
LMU
MIT
Pepperdine
Point Loma
SDSU
Stanford
U. Chicago
U. Penn
U. WA
UCB
UCI
UCLA
UCSB
UCSD
USC
USD

Current Year

Val: U-M Ann Arbor
Salās: Wayne State and U-M Dearborn

4: My son: Yale (he will finish the year tied with the two Salās but the rankings are calculated after 2nd trimester)

9 Stanford

@ OCELITE: why so many valedictorians? Twenty one, thatās insane. Do you not have weighted GPAs?

impromptublue, The valedictorians from our high school are students with a 4.0+ GPA. A class of over 700+ students, one student could have a 4.7 while another student could have a 4.0, so itās a big range. Actually we have more than 21 valedictorians, more like 80 or 90. The list is just the schools they selected to attend. Yes, we do have weighted GPAs. The term for valedictorian for each school may differ. We also have a big range for academic distinction from 3.5 - 3.99. Therefore, someone with a GPA of 3.8 or 3.9 could actually have a more rigorous academic schedule than someone with a 4.0.

Val: Cambridge
Sal: Stanford or Yale

Val: U Penn, W&M
Sal: U Chic

Val- RPI
Sal- Penn State

our class is 500 students. since we donāt do class rank the school just gives āValedictorianā to all the kids with 4.0+ which is around 40-50 of us. We have 2 Harvard, 2 Princeton, one MIT, one Yale, I think one Stanford. 2ish each:Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Amherst, Chicago, Georgetown, Berkeley. Wake forest is surprisingly popular with this group. A vast plurality of our 4.0+ are going to UVA (in-state).

The top two are a Harvard and a Yale.

The plurality of non-valedictorians are going to a combination of VaTech, VCU, and G.Mason. less people going to J.Madison this yearā¦I donāt know why.

My cousin was Sal in the class of 09 and decided to go to community college.
The Val this year is going to UCLA.

itās tough to say for my school because we donāt rank, but we have some people who will be going to Stanford, MIT, Duke, WashU, NYU, Brown, Cornell, UPenn, and a BIG handful to Berkeley. Thereās a couple to UCLA and USC too.

2007: A four way tie. Berkeley for two, Stanford for the other two.
2008: UC Berkeley (though some random kid got in at Yale)
2009: Stanford University
2010: Santa Clara University (Accepted at a few Ivies, turned them down)
2011: MIT (Accepted at Princeton, Rejected at Harvard)

Mine got into Harvard and Yale

Lol. Going to a small Catholic school in Wisconsin sure makes you feel inferior. The three valedictorians are going to UW-Madison, Notre Dame and UW-River Falls. Donāt know all the places they got in. :[

Very small school, grad class of 20. Val going to Augustana (IL).
