<p>Dd is packing her clothes at this time. She has 16 pairs of jeans hung up on the pants hangers and will not budge on taking any out of the pile. She is playing field hockey which requires equipment and workout clothing too. She has three very large pop-up hampers filled with clothing and a x-large duffle bag. I am laughing a little because I doubt it will all fit but decided to keep quite. No need to ruffle the feathers. Let her figure out her space and she can carry what does not fit back to the van right.</p>

<p>16 pairs may be a lot, but given how busy the kids can get with classes/sports, she may not have time to do much laundry. Our D recycled her 3-4 pairs a few times each before washing. She NEVER did that at home when I was doing the wash…</p>
<p>That was her argrument that she could go longer without doing laundry. She has shorts, capris pants and sweatpants too. I laugh because the one thing I say good about her leaving is I will have a whole lot less laundry to do now. It is the one thing I will not miss. Also buying that extra package of meat because most meats are packaged for a family of 4 and we are a family of 5. </p>
<p>Good thing laundry is free to do at her college. I think she maybe the one kid that exceeds the laundry quota.</p>

<p>I simply cannot tell you what a different experience it’s been sending my son off to college from sending his sister 5 years ago. Oh the drama, the shopping, packing, and shopping some more. That would be her. He, on the other hand, would be perfectly fine with one duffel bag, his lacrosse stick, his frisbee and his laptop/phone. Done.</p>
<p>Momof3…you could be writing about MY family. We too are a family of 5. Now down to just three of us at home. The weird thing is, that even after almost 2 years, I still end up with two extra servings after all is said and done. Good thing we like leftovers for lunch. </p>
<p>My D’s school has “free” laundry too. Although given what we pay for tuition, I’d expect a laundry service that does it for you!</p>
