Toddler's Hot Car Death

could have seen that coming, but where do they expect to find an impartial jury???

Trial has started
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/10/04/jury-told-georgia-dad-sought-escape-in-son-hot-car-death.html

i guess it’s possible to be so frazzled and distracted that you could accidentally forget your child in a hot car. but if your browser history indicates you have been reading how long it takes for a child to die in a hot car? i’m guessing that’s not a coincidence.

Time and distance from the Chick-fil-A plus browsing history, plus sexting, plus posting on the day of his death

REALLY!!

I thought I read that they weren’t going to allow the sexting stuff into evidence. What’s the final decision on that? Oh, and if you go to your hot car at lunchtime to toss something in, would you perhaps not see/smell something?

way to not proofread, Fox News. Cooper wasn’t 22 years old. He was 22 months old.

Not only are they letting the sexting in, even the under age one, the judge ruled to allow the prostitute he was with two weeks before to testify. I’m thinking it’s a move to show that he’d moved from ‘fantasy’ to acting out his desires to “escape”

This will be a long trial, and there is a very ugly storm heading towards the coast. Wonder where they will have to take the sequestered jurors, Harris and the legal team.

I watched 14 seconds of Nancy Grace last night (flipping through, looking for an alternative to the VP debate) and was shocked at the assumptions she made about this father. Yeah, I suspect he did it purposely, but boy, was she terrible. I’ve never watched her before. She was awful and disgusting.

And apparently she is as horrible in person as on tv.

Where did you hear that, jym?

will pm you

The irony…

It always seemed to me that Nance Grace is loud mouthed nasty individual. Whenever she is on Good Morning America I switch channels. I don’t know why anyone listens to her. I realize this wasn’t the topic of this thread. Sorry.

@VeryHappy what assumptions did she make about the father? I don’t watch much TV so I’m not familiar with her. I tried to google and came up with her FB page but all it had about this case was link to a CNN article.

@3scoutsmom: In the 14 seconds I had her on, she was screeching, “He had life insurance on the child. Who takes out life insurance on a 22-month-old toddler?”

Her guest (don’t recall who that was) was trying to point out that the larger of the life ins policies ($25K) was taken out at the child’s birth and the smaller on ($2K) was through his workplace. I didn’t think $27K would be enough of a motive, but she was harping on it as if it were the smoking gun.

It was mainly her tone. She was horrified, outraged, dragging him through the mud. There was nothing measured or thoughtful about her. All histrionics.

Thank’s @veryhappy I don’t think I would have enjoyed watching her histrionics and I don’t see the life insurance as a ‘smoking gun’ either. There’s so much worse about this case she could have brought up…

Has anyone been following the trial? I’ve checked the day-by-day reports and read about a lot of the testimony. Here is a good source: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/ross-harris-trial/minute-by-minute-day-15-of-the-ross-harris-hot-car-death-trial/461154506

From the media coverage before the trial I was convinced Ross Harris was guilty. The defense attorney had planted a seed of doubt when it came out that Harris had clicked on the “childfree” Reddit link sent to him by a co-worker, but had not searched for the term himself. Then today’s testimony showed that Harris had cleared his cache on one of his devices and had researched name changes/divorce and something about the psychology of witness testimony. There was also something about researching how to survive in prison.

There are just too many little bits of information that point toward it being intentional and they all are adding up in my mind.

Thanks for the link, I think the baby in the 3-D model looks smaller than I had imagined but given the position of the car seat actually touching the driver’s seat I can’t believe he didn’t know he left his kid in the car.

It creeps me out that the doll being used in the car seat has actual blonde hair.
