I have a Fulbright scholarship and I am applying for ECE masters program in the TOP 20 universities. My GRE scores are 3.5AW 155V 167Q</p>
<p>I’ve just received my TOEFL score:</p>
<p>R: 28 L: 25 S: 24 W: 22 T:99</p>
<p>I have no idea what happened in the writing section. I practiced with templates and made sure that I stayed within the “effective” word count. </p>
<p>Even though most top universities have minimums of 89 (Stanford) or even 79 in engineering programs, I wanted to be in the 100+ comfort zone. I am considering asking ETS for a rescore on both the writing and speaking sections. I know it may be a waste of money but I think an increase of just 1 point would greatly benefit my score while a decrease of 1 or 2 points would not hurt my score so badly. Should I rescore?</p>
