<p>I doubt it. If you’ve gone to American schools since kindergarten and did well enough to think about applying to a selective school like Vanderbilt, it stands to reason that you would be fairly fluent in English, not to mention the fact that you’ve been here for more than a decade.</p>
<p>No, you don’t have to as long as you have lived in america for more than FIVE years. I’m sure you speak perfect English if you moved here when you were 6. Don’t worry.</p>
