Tom Delay

I wasn’t sure whether to post this in the parents forum or the political forum. But I just watched my DVR recording of Tom Delay on dancing with the stars. I am not sure what to say. Bless his heart.

I didn’t have the courage to watch.

Did he embarrass himself? :o

um…me too.

I was walking with my friend and was demonstrating to her the little twitchy thing he did after the judges talked to him, when I was done I looked up and noticed some guy sitting in a truck laughing at my demo. lol

Macy Gray was pretty indescribable too.

I didn’t get to watch the girls. They were on at the same time as NCIS and Biggest loser and my DVR won’t let me watch and/or record more than 2 shows at time. Just as well probably.

The bum wiggling at the beginning of his dance - you know some buns are meant to wiggle in public - some just aren’t. As a general rule I would say it should be avoided by politicians!

Dang! I was grilling our dinner and missed the show :frowning: That’s the problem with vacations…

^^^^^

I would give ANYTHING to get the image of him doing his “wild thing” out of my mind! Short of pouring bleach in my eyes, I’m afraid I am permantly scarred. :(

^^^^^

edit: double post

Watch tonight’s results show, they will show some highlights. And he was that.

I have tried and tried to find something appropriate to say to the image of Tom Delay dancing. Words fail me. Take away my Phi Beta Kappa key, I have no vocabulary to deal with the situation.

I have two words - YOU TUBE. For those of you haven’t had the pleasure :0 you can find his performance. Please report back!

And we get to watch him again next week. Please God don’t give him a samba or mambo or one of those sexy dances.

Oh no…next week.

Ashley didn’t have any charisma or much talent, but at least he wasn’t painful to watch like Tom. “Wild thing?” puhleeze.

And Macy Gray would have needed a Pygmalion makeover to advance in the competition. Ballroom just isn’t “her.”

Delay did just fine. I voted to keep him. Macy Gray was indeed indescrible. I would love to know what she said that that the network silenced out. It must have been crazy.

^^ According to reports online, Macy Gray said that she was happy to get that first dance out of the way and “I just feel like I finally busted my cherry”.

I thought Carrie Ann and Bruno were gonna bust a gut laughing. They could hardly raise their score paddles, they were laughing so hard.

Thank goodness Macy was voted off, though. She looked like she was seriously on something . I feel sorry for Jonathan being partnered with her but he was always very gracious. Classy guy.

I heard someone describe DeLay’s dance as a horrible wreck you can’t turn away from. That’s kind of how I felt. His ballroom dance part wasn’t horrible, but the booty-shaking was just, um, undescribable.

When I watched Macy’s dance for the second time, I wasn’t as mortified as the first time through. But I decided to give Kathy Ireland another chance to break loose.

Why is it that top models have so much trouble on DWTS? Brooke Burke was an exception, but most have been so stiff and unable to let loose. Maybe Joanna Krupa will be able to be another exception. Having Derek as a partner is a BIG plus.

I think the best partner to have to help you break out of being inhibited is Mark Ballas. What he did to help Kristi Yamaguchi and Shawn Johnson was nothing short of amazing. Both had amazing footwork anyway, but both were also painfully self-conscious about really letting go in the Latin dances. Last year’s competition was fabulous in the amount of talent evident early on!

Exactly the way I felt, YouDS. Can’t believe he will be back next week–Yikes!
