Is it too cocky to put the percent admission rate for a program that you went to over the summer? I got into Governor’s School in PA… which I have heard is a bigger deal than some other states… and one of the more selective schools. Will college admissions officers know the approximate rate (mine was quite low-less than 15%, ha i got lucky
or should it be included in a resume? Thanks with any advice or past experiences. I just don’t know how smart these admissions officers are sometimes…
Thanks

Don’t bother. Trust that they’ll have experience with the program (past applicants/students having participated, etc.), or if they don’t, they’d look it up when they see you participated.

Or maybe they’ll care more about what you actually DID and LEARNED over the summer rather than how hard it was to get into the program.

What both people said. You should be proud of your achievement getting in (PA isn’t exactly small) and should have no worry that the adcoms will know about the selectiveness, but what you accomplished/learned surely will be of greater value to the adcoms.

if its really that good then the officers will know about it. if not they wont really care about the admiot rate anyways
