Too Good To Go…..who has tried it?

The window times are the main reason I don’t try different places. The one store I use has pick up from 10-6.

My Israeli friends are coming on Sunday. Bagels on Saturday!

I think an hour is the largest window I’ve seen but most are less.

The farm I picked up at today had a really nice window—10 to 6!

Here is my haul for $6:

Around here, the mushrooms alone would be $6+! You got a nice harvest and they look very fresh!

Since son is in town, we did the $5.99 box at the local doughnut shop. Owner loaded the box from the back of store racks so it was all fresh today. Son was happy!

Wow that was nice of them to “top it off”! Looks like a nice selection. :doughnut:

In our town, there are so far only donut shops (2 of them) participating. Having worked at Dunkin’ Donuts one summer, I get a kick out of that. We had to trash a lot of donuts.

I hadn’t ordered any bags in a couple of months because I was getting things I had no use for. Took a shot today and this is what I got for $4.99, retail $46.86. Not sure what I’m going to use the grain free tortillas for yet.

Grain free tortillas: wraps, enchiladas, cut up, drizzle with olive oil and coarse salt and bake - or cinnamon sugar.

When my kids were little, I discovered that they loved my quickie quesadillas - tortillas covered with shredded cheddar, cooked in oven on baking sheet.

I think I will try that for my 2 yr old grandson. Would I do them at a higher heat, say 400 degrees?

I start most things in the oven around 350 degrees… but 400 might give it a nice crispiness.

We’ve made quick quesadilla apple pie on the stove top. It is not an exact recipe by any means

Peely and Slice 1-2 apples thinly. We usually use honey crisp apples.

Mix cream cheese and cinnamon sugar together to taste (I always do this by eye so don’t have exact measurements). Probably between 1/4 to 1/2 cup total for two 8 or 9 inch tortillas.

Spread mixture on one side each of two tortillas.

In a heated frying pan over medium heat, place one of the tortillas cream cheese side up. Layer apple slices on top of the cream cheese mixture. I like a lot of apple, but again this is to taste. Place other tortilla on top, cream cheese side down.

Flip over when bottom is nicely brown and brown other tortilla side.

Remove from heat, section into 6 pie wedges. Serve. It is a bit crunchy and gooey and delicious.

OMG, the molasses cookies are SO good. I just ate 420 calories of them. :confounded: They are from Dancing Deer Baking Co from Castleton NY. And I’m not a huge sweets eater.

Those almond tortillas are super expensive. You could use them as you would a regular flour tortilla. Egg burritos would work or bean and cheese.

Yes, they are expensive. The marked price is $9.99 for 8 of them.

If you shared the grain free tortillas with a gluten free friend they will love you forever.
