Too Late to Get a "New" Dorm?

He/she is much less likely to get into one of those two. Snell-Hitchcock should be full already. Max Palevsky should be full too. There will still be rooms at South Campus and other dorms at this moment.

do you think there’s still room at bj?

I don’t know much about BJ. I would assume that there are still empty rooms at BJ.

I have not seen the insides of the residential halls but am aware that many of them are quite old. In terms of Pierce, some photos that I’ve seen make it look very “aged.” I’m wondering is Pierce “run down” at all or is it in nice/good shape?

I am not a big fan of Pierce, but I can tell you that it has the best dining hall. Its rooms are kind of small (about two-third the size of a Max Palevsky double). I mean it’s an old building.

^ I dunno, I ate at both South Campus and Pierce for Admitted Students, and I liked South Campus’ hall more.

I put Max P as my first choice, but only submitted just now - no dice?

I talked for quite a while to one of the two women who does housing assignments. It appears to be more an art than a science. They try to make each house have a variety of types, but also to have some commonalities. The example she gave was that one year she put four or five fencers in the same house. Another year she might put together a bunch of people who say they like Finnish metal. I did not get the impression that athletes would ger preference for houses near the athletic facilities, however since they try to give everyone one of their top choices, if more athletes request housing in one area, there will end up being more athletes there.
