Too late to request an interview?/Applicant's Level of Interest?

<p>I’ve only recently decided to apply to Rice and it’s past the date to request an interview for RD already. Is there any chance that might be lenient towards this fact? Who do I even contact/email to arrange this?</p>

<p>Also, I noticed it’s really important to Rice that the applicant’s level of interest is high. Now I live in New York and I know I’ll never be able to get down there for a visit. Is it too late to show that I’m interested?</p>
