Too many math and science classes?

Hello everyone! So I’m currently a sophomore in high school and thinking about what classes to take next year. I’m a little afraid that my class list is heavy on science and math:

Note: I go to a small prep school and our classes are pretty rigorous, even at the “regular” level

9th grade (last year) Foundations of Scientific Knowledge (intro year to chem, physics and bio packed into one year, no adv option), World History (no adv option), Lit 1 (no adv option), Precalc Adv, Latin 2 Adv, Rotation 9 (required, no adv option)

10th grade (this year) Chem 1 Adv (AP Chem level), Calc 1 Adv (AP calc BC level), Physics 1 Adv (AP Phys C Mechanics level), Latin 3 Adv, Lit 2 (no adv option), Rotation 10 (required, no adv option)

11th grade (next year) Chem 2 Adv (2nd year college Chem), Calc 2 Adv (Multivar. Calc), Bio 1 Adv (AP Bio level), American Lit (no adv option), Latin Lit Adv, American History (no adv option, but level of APUSH), Intro German seminar

12th grade (2 years from now) Bio 2 Adv (2nd year college Bio), Phys 2 Adv (AP Phys C Electro level), Modern Euro History Adv, Calc 3 Adv (which at this point is just linear algebra), Lit of the Western World (no adv option), Modern Drama (no adv option), Intro German level 2 seminar

Another note: We are required to have an art credit and 4 years of lit, everything else is up to us

I might be freaking out about nothing but it never hurts to hear other’s thoughts. Thanks!!

I had about the same number of humanities classes per year (fewer in 11th grade, actually). If you’re planning to study STEM, then no worries.

ok thanks for the feedback friend!!

Yeah your schedule is fine. Just make sure you take the AP tests for the classes that you say are “AP level”.

Is it a dual enrollment or you are getting college credits? Otherwise it may be good to show course rigor only but not helpful for placement. Some college would not even consider dual enrollment credits if you take them in a high school. So taking the AP exam or CLEP are good idea.
