Hi,
I read somewhere that too many students submitted their SIRs to UCSD, meaning too many people enrolled. Does anyone know how many students over the limit they are? Is this going to make classes a lot harder to get?

I’d be interested to know where you “read” this, since the none of the relevant UCOP/UCSD sites have been updated with such information.

[University of California Office of the President](http://www.ucop.edu/news/studstaff.html)

Maybe the OP is referring to Ms Sun’s post below (UC General forum). However, she was referring to SIRs from California residents specifically being over the target enrollment. Thus, it is hard to conclude (i.e. without knowing the yield rate for OOS/international) the degree of over-enrollment (if any).

The fact that UCSD didn’t even use their waitlist makes me suspect that too many people enrolled. Even UCLA admitted people via the waitlist.
