I’m taking
AP US history
AP stats
AP Chemistry
AP Spanish language
AP English
Math B(2)
Gym–>its mandatory =(
Concert Band
Most likely self studying AP psych and Ap Euro history

I’m worried taking too many AP’s might effect my GPA I’m only at 89.9-90ish now. If I had to drop one I think it’d be stats(I’m not great at math) but at the same time I want to make sure I’m looking well rounded. Is this too much work? Should focus on better grades in less rigorous classes or just do the best I can in the hardest classes I can take?

Drop the self-studies; those are waste of your time (and especially a waste of precious cramming time a week or two before the test). Worry more about your GPA and classes you’re actually taking.

And I remember a friend of mine asking an admissions officer which was better: high grades in easy classes or slightly lower ones in harder classes. The answer: the high grades in the harder classes. ;)

i agree with collegeboss …i remember last year…so stressed…my whole school takes IBDP (there is no AP) and i went against the tide and took 5 APs (and also IB certificate)…so stressing…thank god its over! now im only doing IBC with 5 subjects…
