<p>Hi, I know what Industrial Engineers do but do not get the clear picture of what kind of tools they may use for the job. Do Industrial Engineers program alot like use c++ and VB.net daily? They use CAD but do they use it on a regular basis? I hear they use adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator (from a few resumes I’ve seen).</p>

<p>Industrial Engineering is a very broad field. What, specifically, within the field are you looking at? Supply Chain and Logistics? Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control? Contracts and Economic Decision Analysis? Ergonomics? </p>
<p>The tools will be very different for those different areas.</p>
<p>I’m interested to, so let’s say Supply Chain/Logistics and Manufacturing.</p>
