· Open Curriculum with no required classes outside of ones major(s), allowing for almost complete academic freedom

· Small classes (over 80% of classes have 20 or fewer students) and the great relationships between students and professors

· Vibrant, collaborative, and diverse student body the lifeblood of the Wesleyan community

· Dining options (on campus dining locations and Main Street area restaurants are abundant)

· Perfect size: approximately 2,800 undergraduates not too small, but not too large either

· Housing options, specifically senior year wood frame houses

· Sciences & undergraduate research opportunities, thanks to countless National Science Foundation grants and a very small grad student cohort

· Foss Hill the main student hangout area that overlooks the baseball and football fields, as well as College Row (absolutely beautiful in the fall and spring!)

· Strong performing arts with over 300 exhibits and performances a year

· Proximity to major cities like Boston and New York City (but to be perfectly honest, students never really feel the need to leave campus)

· Athletic Facilities and being part of the Little Three Rivalry and New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) (Go Wes!)

These are just a few of the things that we love most about Wes, feel free to share your favorites too!

The Career Resource Center - a lifelong resource that helps students search for and find exciting research, internship, and job opportunities, as well as grants for unpaid or low-paying internships. The CRC is also manages the alumni database, which makes it easy for current students and graduates to connect with successful Wes alumni in just about every field.

AuralWes - Planning an event? Or, just interested in sampling new music? There’s never a shortage of alumni, and current students to reach out to: auralwes.org;
Wesleyan is probably the smallest non-conservatory affiliated university in America (props to Oberlin) with its own music scene.

Wesleying - One of the best student-run blogs in the country - certainly the best one in NESCAC - your go-to place for information on events, food, bands, and random happenings: Wesleying

The Portland Quarries - a National Historic Landmark since May, 2000, source of much of Wesleyan’s brownstone architecture and now the location of a recreation park: [Brownstone Park - Zip Lines, Wakeboards, Rock Climb, Water Slides and Toys, Scuba and Swim](http://brownstonepark.com/)

From a parent’s perspective: amazing parent’s weekend each fall with top-notch lectures, extremely helpful parents’ list-serve, professors and staff who care deeply about students, highly professional communication with families, cohesive community which fosters very strong bonds even after students graduate, President Roth!
