Top 20 LAC Student Looking to Transfer

As the title says, I am a rising Junior at a top 20 LAC. For a multitude of reasons I am looking at transferring to a more profession-oriented school. Do I have a chance in getting into schools like Wisconsin, Georgetown, Boston College or UCLA?

Stats:
Current Political Science and Economics major
3.1 college GPA
3.3 hs GPA
2100 SAT
30 ACT
2 years of Division III college football
Current summer intern for a US Senator in my home state

Any advice is appreciated!

Are you going to attend your jr year and try to transfer as a sr, or are you planning on applying during a gap year?

Have you checked the college websites to see how your stats stack up for transfer admissions? For example:

[Transfer Admission Procedures - Office of Undergraduate Admission - Boston College](http://www.bc.edu/content/bc/admission/undergrad/transfer/admissionprocedures.html)

[Transfer Admission Guide - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/tradms.htm)

Are you IS for either of the publics?

I think it is possible to transfer with those grades. However, I don’t know if you can transfer at this point. You may need to take a gap year in order to transfer.

What is a profession oriented school?

^Lots of students heading towards professional schools like law, medicine or business, as opposed to grad school.

Take a look at the links I gave for BC and UCLA. Gt is as difficult to transfer to, if not more so.

Thanks everyone for the help!

Can anyone weigh in on how the academic stature of my current school will affect a transfer application? I hope 2 years at my school, which is known for being quite difficult, would carry some weight.
