Hi,

I went to Ohio State during my first year studying at the business school. During that time, my mom passed away and my grades started to fall. I ended up going from a 3.5 to a 2.6 by the end of freshman year and decided that I needed to go back home to be closer to friends. I transferred to The University of Toledo and took up Criminal Justice, which I have found out that law schools tend to hate. I’m relatively smart and the classes here are really easy, even the more difficult ones. I’ve noticed that they don’t compare to Ohio State much at all. So another thing against me is that I am going to a less rigorous school.

I am also taking classes at a community college for the summer and for the fall because it will save me about 10k.

The real question is, if I finish with a 3.3 (Ohio State plus UT combined) at a mediocre university and get around a 160-168 on the LSAT, what are my chances of cracking the top 50?

What is the best school I could go to and would it be smart to take a year at University of Toledo’s Law school and transfer out to something like Ohio State or higher?

Any and all tips welcome.
