Top AP Review Books - Suggestions?

I’ll be taking the following AP courses next year, and I was hoping I could get some suggestions as to what review books I should use for them, maybe a text book for some.

Bio
APUSH
Calc AB
Lang Comp.
U.S. Gov/Macro
Spanish Lang. (Considering I’m a native)

Now, U.S. Gov/Macro and Spanish Lang. I’ll be taking in FLVS, so I will consider getting a review book for U.S. Gov/Macro, and anything to supplement the learning.

Bio-Cliffs
USH-Direct Hits
AB-Textbook is enough
Not sure about others.

Thanks, I thought of doing the same for Bio and USH. Anybody else?

Lang. Comp is just a matter of practice. This will hopefully be done in your class, so I don;t know of a review book. It would probably be better to get a released exam than a prep-book.

Spanish Language, as a native speaker, and assuming you have a good command of written grammar, is a cake walk. It is the same as English language, practice. I’ve heard 5 Steps to a 5 is good here, but I have no experience.

APUSH- Kaplan is fine
Calc AB- Barrons, also maybe 5 Steps to a 5
US Gov- Barrons

USH: AMSCO is amazing. Supplement with Direct Hits. But make sure you primarily study AMSCO & know most of it. Then you can intensely study Direct Hits. That should give you a 5

Direct Hits is all you need for the MC. AMSCO may help on the essays, but it’s not as helpful.

APUSH - I bought the Kaplan review guide… Which wasn’t very useful other than for the practice tests inside. AMSCO was a lifesaver in the final stretch of the course, I definitely recommend that book for anyone taking the class. Didn’t use the Barron’s book, so I can’t really vouch for that, but the Direct Hits was also a great supplement.
Bio - I start taking this year. My instructor personally recommends the Cliffnotes book, since she said many of her prior students had great success using it. I’ll probably get the Kaplan book, seeing as to how that’s the one my Mom always tends to grab from the bookstore, and see how that one is.

Bio - Take copious notes on Cliff’s and memorize your notes. Study the labs a bit more in-depth and you should be fine.

APUSH - Read AMSCO over the course of the year. I used PR for practice tests.

AB - Princeton Review was amazing. It also has BC topics but it indicates which is which. My only gripe with PR is that it skipped over logistic growth and Newton’s Method.

Lang - Cliff’s again, simply for the terms and practice tests. Read and practice. Pay attention in class and buff up your writing skills. Know rhetoric.

For Spanish, consider asking a teacher at your school to borrow their “Preparing for the AP examination book”. It’s also around $35-40 on Amazon. Great for preparing for the AP, if outdated. You’ll probably want to glance through it the week before to know the format of the test. As a native, it should be ridiculously easy.

I’ve made up my mind for APUSH and Bio, both Eng. and Span. Lang. are practice, but I’m still worried about Calc. AB and Gov.

Thanks guys! :)

Not sure if you’ve seen that yet, but it should be helpful. The consolidated list hasn’t been updated for a while, so there are a bunch of individual lists for the best review books after the page I linked.
