Hey, as we do have a 2 month wait on our hands, I thought I’d open up this thread to chat about colleges to which we have applied/which ones are our top choices…

I live in MN and have thus not visited Stanford, but have heard it is absolutely amazing (and the weather kind of massacres MN/WI weather). Here are my top choices:

Stanford

WashU in St. Louis

Northwestern

UW-Madison

UW-Seattle

Duke

I would be enthralled if I were accepted at Stanford! Ah!

Stanford (accepted)/ Princeton don’t know which one I would go to if I got into Princeton also

UC San Diego

USC

UC Berkeley

UC Los Angeles

UC Davis

Stanford

Brown

Univ of Chicago (deferred EA, so I lost alot of hope)

Michigan (I think I’ll end up here)

MIT

Michigan State (safety)

That’s pretty cool. Everyone seems to like Stanford and Brown on here. Except does anyone have a problem when people ask you for your top choices? I always reply that “I’ll wait till they accept me” with a grin and say I have no “top choice.”

THOUGH, I do have preferences. Hehe, for some reason, preferences have a different definition in my mind than choice.

And two safeties, already got in with priority application.

I hate the top choice questions! I always say, whatever school accepts me and offers the best finaid package. Like there’s any question where that would be…

I hate saying that Stanford is my #1 because (a) I probably won’t get in and (b) there’s almost no way in hell I’ll be able to afford it. I should probably just say Macalester from now on because almost no one who asks for my list has ever heard of it. But then they just keep asking questions…

Stanford (accepted)/Princeton - Sal2, that makes two of us who would have a tough time deciding!

Harvard

Columbia

Michigan (accepted)
