<p>GG, I don’t mean any disrespect but there is absolutely no indication of the criteria used to make these selections and anyone could have pulled this info out of a hat! Geneseo and Binghamton are strong schools overall, but not the “top” SUNY’s for kids with interests in certain programs. Not sure what this list is worth…just to feed the rankings monster, lol?</p>

<p>The list is probably based on SAT/ACT/GPA/Rank or other reported number-based criteria that were combined to create a feasible list, although it is sort of mysterious looking. And yes, while other SUNYs are good for specific programs (Fredonia/New Paltz for the arts, Stony Brook for science) these two are the “best” in general in regards to the caliber of students they attract and where they are ranked. Also, for a lot of programs, these two are very good as well (Geneseo has science and teaching I think, Bing has poli sci and business)…</p>
