<p>I’m going to be applying to CMU/Chicago/Cornell/Columbia MFE (also known as MSCF or MCF) quant. programs in 1 or 2 years from now. Right now I’m debating what work experience would be more “appealing” to top MFE programs - either 1)actuary or 2) structured finance analyst (if so anything in particular - ABS/CDO - specialist??)</p>
<p>I currently work as an actuarial analyst for PwC in New York City. I have the option of switching to securitization field in my company if I choose to and I can choose to specialize in an area in structured finance.</p>
