We all know they are incredible school, but what baffles me is that you can not find any negative aspectS of the school. Everything has it’s flaws, just like the applicants.

So I was wondering if anyone could post the bad side or stereotypes of the HYPSM and other top tier schools.

I just feel that it would be an opportunity to receive a whole perspective of these schools.

While the weather was beautiful (couldn’t be beat), I found Stanford’s campus to be too sprawling and architecturally, one-dimensional. Socially it wasn’t as cohesive as my alma mater and school spirit seemed passe to them.

But my alma mater is on your list and really, the worst thing about it was that I had to graduate to make room for more incoming students. I loved my time there completely.

Cornell: It’s often overcast and rainy there, which I hate. Winters are brutal. Supposedly has the highest suicide rate of all colleges, although I’m pretty sure this has been confirmed as an urban legend. Located in a rural area and while Ithaca is nice, I could very easily see someone get bored there after a year or two.

Vanderbilt: Could use some more racial diversity and interaction. Greek life segregates the campus. Housing’s kinda hit or miss.
