<p>so i’m applying for mcccombs and probably bhp and deans scholars. how competitive is deans? i’ve heard alot about bhp but not deans. but ya about the regular admission since im in tx and in the top 10%, once i apply and it’s processed will i receive an acceptance letter pretty soon after? not necessarily honors but the university itself? i know several friends who are in top 10 and already got letters from a&m a week after they applied. thanks :)</p>
<p>It will depend on your rank and the college you are applying to. If you are top 2%, you should hear back from McCombs pretty quickly, if your rank is higher, it will take longer.</p>
<p>You may get accepted to the university, but not know which major you got into.</p>
<p>My son got his app in the first of August and heard last week that he got in engineering, so that took a couple of months, but it seemed like a whole bunch of people heard around that time, so maybe admissions is just starting to send out acceptances.</p>
<p>I have heard some people got the acceptance to UT, but not their major, so since you are top 10% you will hear at least that quickly.</p>
<p>As for Deans it is not as competitive as BHP, there are some older threads about Deans so do a search.</p>
