<p>Write about whichever one would allow you to write the most personal, honest, specific, revealing essay. </p>
<p>Also, consider that other parts of your application will reveal your passion for math. Therefore, imo, a slight edge would go to the personality change idea, assuming that you can be approximately as personal, honest, specific, and revealing with each proposed topic.</p>

I decided to write about my personality. Because most of private colleges like Caltech, Mit,… have their own supplementary essays where I can write about my passion for math and science.</p>
