which school has more research opportunities, berkeley or upenn?

geez… nobody? bump!

In what subject?

sorry, i meant to say, sciences in general… maybe biology

As I understand it, Penn requires some sort of undergraduate research. For example, if you are in engineering, you must do a senior design project. For college, there is some sort of research forced on you.

at least for BioE, at berkeley most students don’t start research until junior/senior year (and plus, there are so many more students at berkeley, that i think it wouldn’t be easy to obtain a research opportunity)

at penn, they encouraged students to research earlier, like in freshman yr, because then students would have a longer time to work with professors on projects
