Torch scholarship and early action?

So originally I was going to apply to Northeastern early. However I want to take a shot at the Torch scholarship. Is it possible to apply early and still compete for the Torch scholarship?

And for those who get rejected for the scholarship, they’re still considered for regular admission, right?

My GPA is about an 88 (lots of honors classes, couple of AP classes), I took the SAT once as a sophomore and got a 1050 Math and CR. My extras, however, are really the best thing about me. I’ve done internships on wall street, started a website on music journalism (I want to major in journalism), several leadership programs and awards, hundreds of community service hours, etc.

And last but not least I’m a first generation hispanic student being raised by a single disabled mother, so I think I fit the bill for Torch… right?

Another issue I had was that I signed up for the October SAT specifically to raise my score for Northeastern early action. However if I do not apply early, then I would rather hold off until the November test and have more time to prepare. However, it all depends on the whole Torch situation, and how that works out.
