Torn About Cornell (vs Tufts) (int'l student)

Hi guys,

So I’m an international student who didn’t get financial aid for any of the schools I got into, and my parents really only see going to an Ivy or UCBerkeley as justifying the cost (based on reputation in my country). I’m still torn about it, though, because of curriculum aspects I prefer in other universities, particularly Tufts. I explain the situation further on my thread here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1487079-cornell-vs-tufts-vs-umich-vs-ucb-vs-ucla.html

Basically I’m interested in an education involving English, performing and media arts, communication and media studies, and taking art classes as a non-major. With that in mind, I’m hoping people here could help me answer some questions:

How easy is it to transfer colleges? I’m applying for a local scholarship that might require me to study communication in CALS, though I’ve been admitted to CAS.

How is AAP, and how easy is it to take art classes there as a non-major? Is it worth the time? (Also, one thing that kinda puts Tufts’ SMFA over Cornell’s AAP for me is that SMFA offers graphic design courses and the like, while AAP seems largely more traditional. Is that right?)

Is it easy for an international student to get a job on campus?

If anyone could tell me about the English, creative writing and/or the performing and media arts programs (I understand the major for that last one is new?) that would be awesome too! Thanks so much!
