Torn... help..?

Here’s the thing

the common app doesn’t ask teachers on their rec what the student got in their classes

however

some colleges (including the one I’m thinking of applying to early) require teachers to say what grade the student received in their classes.

If I don’t have the best grade in a teacher’s class (the other one I have the highest grade in) but s/he knows me really well and how hard I worked and all that, I would definitely prefer common app…

BUT
since using the college’s own app shows I’m really interested in that college, I don’t know what to do!

Any advises? help?

Well, the college will see what you got in that person’s class anyway through the transcript, won’t they?
However, colleges aren’t supposed to favor their application more than the CommonApp at all, so it shouldn’t matter too much anyway. In any event, if you worked hard in one teacher’s class and he/she knows you best, go with that teacher. I don’t think colleges are looking for letters or numbers in the recommendation–they’re looking for a sense of who you are as a student and as a person.
