track and field recruiting questionnaire

Hi, I want to fill out the recruiting questionnaire, and it obviously requires my records.
However, I am not so sure about whether the records should be official ones.
If I have got the record during the training with the coach, then would it be valid?
Plus, if I am a high school senior and a woman, what would be competitive records for Ivy schools?

On the track and field websites for each school you can see the results of the teams. Look at some of the Championship meets for the times to see how you stack up. This is very easy. Look under the sections for Best Times or under Schedule & Results.

If you have run open events your times are usually published, so the coach can look them up to verify. I would simply list your personal bests from meets as you know them. On rare occasions, splits are also published. The questionnaire is just to establish a dialogue. The coaches will ask for more information and contact your coach if they are interested.

Have you run at any Meet of Champions events or at the indoor or outdoor Nationals? Have you been named to an All Conference team?

You should also do the questionnaires for NESCAC and Patriot League schools.

BatesParents2019, thank you for your response.
For official records, I am attending to international school, which means I cannot run at National games.
What should I do? Should I call coach to explain my situation?

No. Just fill out the questionnaires with your personal best times and the names and dates of the meets. Please note any awards or championships you have received.

After you submit the questionnaires, email the coach directly with a solid paragraph about your accomplishments. You will find the email address under the coach section or the department section of the website.

If you are looking at Division 1 schools you must get an NCAA Clearinghouse number but you don’t need it right now.

I went through this process with my son in 2014.

Thank you so much! Would it be fine if I fill out the questionnaire during Septempber/ October? Is it too late?

Way too late. Invitations for ED applications are long gone by then. Ivy League schools start issueing likely letters then.

Ideally you should have started this in June.

Also send your transcript, school profile and senior year schedule to the coach.

@BatesParents2019 Thank you so much!!

Good luck!!!
