I miss Trader Joe’s so much! I shopped there when we lived in California and my son was a little guy. I suppose it’s odd to have nice memories of ones grocery store but I do.

The bright lining in a dental emergency this a.m. was being able to go to TJ’s after my appointment. Valentine’s purchases–chocolate souffles in ceramic ramekins, chocolate cloud cake, plus salmon rillette, stuffed salmon, frozen spinach. Driving home I realized I had forgotten carrot ginger soup. Love that store!

Are you really not allowed to take pictures in Trader Joe’s? I don’t know why you’d want to, but neither why you wouldn’t be allowed if you DID want to—

I took some pictures a few weeks ago for my neighbor of the refrigerated vegetarian section and no one bothered me. Actually, I don’t think it’s that uncommon to not permit photographing in retail establishments.

Actually, I DID take some photos in a local store that gets completely transformed for Christmas each year. D1 and D2 love it, and I know that someday down the road they’ll be saying “remember how neat that place was?”
Now in the days of cell phones, I guess it’s easier not to be so obvious, though mine takes really lousy pictures.

It will be interesting to find out if the ad was actually commissioned by Trader Joe’s. It seemed too well done to just done by a Trader Joe’s fan. It seemed to me like a perfect example of viral marketing that will become more and more prevalent in our new virtual world. Besides Trader Joe’s infamour mailer, I am not sure how much marketing they do. This ad seemed like a perfect marketing ploy. I received this link and had already sent it on to my friends before I even saw it here.
