Tragic typo, need advice

I was filling out the parent plus loan for my mom and i'm sure i double checked everything, but somehow i put my SS in wrong by one didgit. :( I contacted the studentloans.gov help desk and am now waiting for a responce.

How can i fix this? Will i get in trouble?

Edit: I tried calling them but i wasn't able to find where i should ask the question, i guess i should call my school.

I think the worst thing that can happen is that your loan gets kicked out. You won't get into trouble as I'm sure many people make similar errors. I'm guessing they will be able to correct it once they get back to you. You might also try calling your school and letting them know what happened. A likely scenario is that since the SS number doesn't match up, they won't certify the loan. Nothing fatal will happen, it just might take longer to process.

I tried calling and the school is out for today :(

Anyway, that loan got rejected due to my mothers credit being bad :(

I just wanted to make sure i didn't get in trouble...

You won't, especially since it was rejected. Also, don't worry about the school. They'll never see it due to the rejection.
