Does anyone know if there is bus or train service from Boston (preferably South Station) to Cape Cod? Hyannis would be more convenient, but am guessing Barnstable might be the main stop. Just wondering–

Bus service, South Station to Hyannis. I’m sure there are other options, but here’s at least one:

[Plymouth & Brockton](http://www.p-b.com/weekend-Bost.html)

ooops. See that it’s the same schedule as NewHope’s post.

We always took the banana bus (formerly Bonanza bus - now called Peter Pan lines) from the airport to Falmouth, but it also stops in Hyannis I think. I believe it goes from the airport but stops at south station… [Peter Pan Bus :: Home](http://www.peterpanbus.com/)

There is also a ferry that goes to Provincetown.

Perfect - Thanks, all. S1 will be in Boston and may try to meet up with us when we go to Brewster for a few days. Was hoping to avoid a drive all the way back to Barnstable or Falmouth in summer traffic. Hyannis shouldn’t be too bad - at certain times of day.

How about trying the [Boston-Provincetown Ferry](http://www.baystatecruisecompany.com/schedule.html) and then the [Flex Bus Schedule](http://www.theflex.org/schedule.htm). S can take the bus all the way to Brewster, and you won’t lose too much beach time!

And just noticed that the P&B bus noted in the above posts, has a stop in Orleans…much closer than Hyannis.

Thanks, archiemom-- we’re in Orleans all the time. Heading up 6A is a breeze.

Hi,

Do you have a train/bus between Brester,ma and boston ?

I will plan to capground in Brewster and I’d like to Boston with my kids for the Redsox games ?

Best regards!!!

Hi ddarveau–
If you’re staying at the Nickerson State Park campgrounds that means you’ll be on route 6A, just a short distance from Orleans.
I’ve never used it, but if you click on the link to the Flexbus schedule that’s listed above, then scroll down to “connections”, it looks as if it might be able to get you to the bus stop/transportation center in Hyannis (H2O stands for Hyannis to Orleans). I’m sure the people at the campground office could give you some good advice.

Will you have a car with you? If you don’t want to drive all the way to Fenway yourself, I think your best bet would be to drive to the transportation center in Hyannis, leave your car, and get a bus to Boston, then a shuttle or subway to the ball game. Just know that traffic can be really heavy on the Cape during the summer.

A couple of summers ago, D could only spend part of our vacation with us, since she had to get back to her internship. She took the bus from Orleans (it stops right outside the CVS) to Hyannis and then switched to a bus to Boston. It’s something of a shlep, but it’s doable.

there is the train in plymouth.
