Trainers...

Are there any bodybuilding/strength trainers on campus? I’m not on any athletic team, but I’m looking for guidance on how to better my body.

supposedly you can hire a personal trainer from the cornell fitness center…but i’m not sure what their qualifications are nor have i ever met anyone who did this…

since you like forums…i recommend you visit bodybuilding dot com’s health and fitness forums…

Be specific. Better your body how? You want to get “cut?” or you want to look like Arnold?

Either way
Get this book:

“The New Encyclopedia of modern body building”

by Arnold Schwazenegger

Its a ridiculously cheap book (19 bucks!) that is on amazon. It has everything you need to get some size on you, properly. It also gives you some recommended routines. This is the only book you need. You do not need a personal trainer. If you look at the routines in the book , they show you how to do it. If you are still confused, look up the routines on youtube. You will see how it is done.

Also be aware that getting “yolked” is 80% diet ( The types of food you eat. proteins vitamins etc etc.) 20% workout.

If you need any help with what types of supplements you need and the eating regimen, let me know.

It’s more about having a stronger upper body than looking like a bodybuilder. Thanks, though. I’ll need to inquire about a trainer.

I used to be a personal trainer at bally’s total fitness. I can tell you that everything I learned was from that book. in other words, everything that your trainer is going to teach you, or FORGET to teach you rather, is from this book. From lower body, to upper body, for getting cut, or gaining mass. Its all there. $19 > $1500 trainer.

let us not forget the legs…

any serious bodybuilder will tell you the importance of squatting and deadlifting…but definitely squatting…

try not to be that guy who curls in the squat rack (lulz)

I ran for years. Of course, though, that doesn’t mean my quads are strong. Part of the reason I’m seeing a sports doctor tomorrow.

oh and lats…and delts too…
