Trait/Characteristic question

Did you guys/girls write about physical, inherited traits for your parents (height, skin color, etc) or a specific characteristic that you have because of the way your parents brought you up?

I just did a physical characteristic because describing something that came from the way i was brought up would not fit into the 500 character limit for me.

Okay, that’s what I was thinking. I tried explaining a characteristic, but like you said, I really wasn’t able to limit it to 500 characters.

I wrote about how I am short. I know it’s a bit cliche, but oh well.

I wanted to write a physical characteristic, but I thought that when they wrote “trait” or “characteristic” they were looking for a personality trait. Mine isn’t something that I have because of the way my parents brought me up, it’s just something that my mom and I have in common… i hope thats ok. My physical one would have been so much better.

central ^^ i read it the same way you did. i didnt do a physical trait because it seemed to obvious so instead i wrote about something my parents and i both share, a characteristic is anything that describes you so yea physical or not it should be good

Wow, I never heard of anyone writing about a physical trait, I assumed they meant personality, not physical…I don’t know, writing about a physical one seems so boring…like “My mom is 5’4 and I’m 5’4 too! We’re both average height together! It’s called genetics!” hahah I’m sure it’s more than that, but still, interesting…I guess I just assumed they meant personality.

My trait was sponaneity, I got accepted. Most people write about personality.

i wrote about how i learned to be (emotionally) strong from my mom… is that too cliched?

Mine was a physical trait but also a personality trait. I wrote about how my vision is so poor physically, but despite my impairment I am not blind to seeing truth.

I just assumed they meant a character trait. hmmm, I’m not sure how you could use a pysical trait unless it was something that adversely affected you like being too tall or bieng a minority and dealing with it. I guess it could go either way then.

<<i wrote=“” about=“” how=“” my=“” vision=“” is=“” so=“” poor=“” physically,=“” but=“” despite=“” impairment=“” i=“” am=“” not=“” blind=“” to=“” seeing=“” truth.=“”>>
<i wrote=“” about=“” how=“” my=“” vision=“” is=“” so=“” poor=“” physically,=“” but=“” despite=“” impairment=“” i=“” am=“” not=“” blind=“” to=“” seeing=“” truth.=“”>

I like that statement. I think it’s as much HOW you say it as well as what you say.
