Tranfering from liberal arts collegs to public or private college

Would this work since I am about to attend BSC in the fall for freshmen year and would like to transfer to UNC, NYU, Wake Forest, UT Austin, UVA after about 1 or 2 years at BSC. Is this possible and I am doing this to attend a target school that a specific job looks for.

What you should do is make a list of classes that you need to take. I think there are certain classes that you need to earn in order to be accepted as a transfer student. For example, for me, I am an engineering student, so one of my requirements was calculus II. There are bunch of courses that you must have. It may be just number of credits. Check this information. After you check that, make sure you take those courses at BSC this year and try to aim the highest GPA you can get. This may be a challenge, but I think you can do it since I see your passion to transfer. If you have specific questions, don’t hesitate to ask admission’s office so that they can guide you toward a better solution and can help you transfer successfully. Sorry for not giving you a direct answer. However, it really depends on you. Your ACT score is good, so please work hard in college for good GPA. Then I believe you do have chances to get accepted. Definitely work hard to keep your GPA as high as possible. Keep ahead of classes, do all homework and reading as early as you can, and take every class seriously.

You don’t need a new ACT score. Transfers are evaluated differently than high school seniors.

Read the Common Data Set for transfer admissions- schools have different selectivity profiles for freshmen versus transfers (often quite a bit more selective). Ask all the public U’s on your list for in-state versus out-of-state chances as well. Many of the slots at these places are saved for in-state community college transfer programs, so find out what your real chances are as a transfer from outside that system.

I’d say give your school affair shot. And you have no clue what your GPA will be yet.
