My counselor has never used the Common App before and is not skilled with computers, so she chose to opt out of using online forms and to send my secondary report/transcript by mail to each of my six college choices (Yale, Duke, Columbia, NYU, Hendrix College and Vanderbilt).

She was unaware that I wasn’t applying until closer to the Reg. Decision deadline, so she mailed all of those materials back in October.

Even though I haven’t yet submitted my applications, will those schools have kept my counselor’s materials on file?

Yes. Schools always open a file for you whenever and however they receive pieces of your application. It is not at all unusual for there to be a time lag between the first and last required items.

It’s also not unusual for a counselor (at private high schools where they have time for this sort of thing) to call a school to verify that they’ve received everything. You can ask your counselor to do that.
