My friend has a question reguarding appealing to UCD. Since I also got rejected from UCD(kinda suprised), I looked at appealing for UCD and see that they make you do a course/grade update form, but is a transcript needed to be mailed to UCD also for evidence?

It would be preferred.

Really? But UCD appeal didn’t ask for it to be mailed. Heck the whole appeal letter is on their application so we dont mail anything unless its like medical documents and letter of recs

You got rejected from Davis but got into Cal? Weird…

Anyways, I don’t think it’s necessary. UC’s want transcripts after you decide to matriculate.

you really should tho. you want to hit them with everything you got and not hold back.
documentation (and transcripts) of things you mention in your appeal make your words more tangible. if you really care, do the optional stuff.

it also gives some piece of mind/closure to take a very heavy package of appeal documents to the post office :)

^ I like your argument. lol

well I finished appealing to UCI and UCSB and they required a transcript to be sent. But When i was looking at UCD appeal, they only ask for you to fill out their course/grade update form and they dont ask you to mail transcript at all.

Step 4: Supplemental materials:

You may submit supplemental information in support of your appeal by mail, no later than April 15. The following types of supplemental materials will be considered during the review of your appeal:

Letter(s) of recommendation
Medical documentation
Other documentation related to your appeal
Financial documentation
Personal life challenges documentation

Unless Other documentation counts as transcript -.-.

Yes, they don’t specifically say to include a transcript. However, if you’ve mentioned anything about new grades or classes in your appeal, having your transcript to back you up will only help. Cutie pretty much said it all.

If you really want to take the chance, it is totally up to you.

it’s friday, the appeal letter is due monday the 15th. I forgot to get the transcript from school for davis, so should I just go balls to teh wall and hope for the best? Or should i try and get it / send it on monday? i’m not sure their “monday 15th” deadline is for them to recieve it or for me to send it out. input you guys?

the deadline is referring to the postmark date
