Do i have to mail my transcript to Carleton myself or will my counselor do that along with his counselor recommendation?

at our high school, d had to fill out request forms, give them to the registrar and pay a small fee for each requested transcript. However, if your school doesn’t charge a fee, then the process could be different. I would call/visit the receptionist for your gc (more likely to get an immediate answer during a busy time). Also, follow up with the college to verify that your transcript arrived. Carleton has an on-line list for each prospective, but it’s small enough that anyone who answers the phone in admissions will be happy to pull your file and check. They’ll also let you know how big a stack is waiting to be uploaded.

one last thing - if you have to mail it, make sure it’s in a sealed envelope from the registrar. If you take an official copy out of it’s sealed envelope it is no longer an official transcript.
Our school recommended all seniors get some extra “official” transcripts to have on hand and mail out if they need to. If not for college admissions, then later they’re useful for scholarships and grad schools.

I just mailed in the transcript just to be safe. My school doesn’t have any transcript request forms.
