Transcripts Read 0.00 Transferable Units?

Hey all,

I have an old transcript from Mt.Sac, and the only transferable class that I took during my short stint at the school was Spanish 1. Well, after filling out my IGETC certification earlier this month my counselor realized that at the bottom of the transcript it says I have 0.00 transferable units. Also, there was a Spanish lab component for 0.05 units that I did not complete and therefore on my transcript it says Spanish Lab 0.00 Grade = No Credit.

Needless to say, I’m freaking out. What if I get into my dream school, mail my transcripts, and then get the decision rescinded because this Spanish class no longer completes my foreign language requirements and IGETC cert?

My counselor at my current college says that it’s probably a typo and not to stress. I called Mt.Sac and I have to go in for an appointment if I want to discuss this.

Any input?

I highly doubt you’ll get rescinded for not completing IGETC. In any case, taking a language lab is not listed as required on IGETC. Also, on my current CC’s transcript it also says 0.00 transferable units, even though I’ve only taken UC transferable classes here. I don’t think it’s something to be worried about.

You’re right!! Thank you so much for responding!! Turns out the “transferable units” on this particular transcript are only in reference the courses I taken BEFORE entering Mt.Sac and transfered in/combined to my transcript, which is 0.00. Thanks again.
