Lots of programs require that you send in transcripts, but I wasn’t quite sure how this was done. Do I need to go the school office and ask for them to send copies of my transcript? Or how does it work?

Unless it says otherwise, my daughter assumed it meant an official transcript. She asked her school office for them, and they provided them in a sealed letter sized envelope for her that said “Offical transcript for <her name=”">". She just put that in with the application. She had a couple applications that required them, and a third one that requires one if you get into the 2nd round for their application process; she went ahead and just requested three, figuring that it would make it easier just in case she gets to that 2nd round (especially because her school has 2 weeks of spring break right around the time when that 2nd round notification comes out).</her>

Okay, thank you!

intparent’s correct - you’ll have to request official copies from your school. Sometimes, they may give them sealed to you to mail; my school is usually nice about mailing documents themselves.

Some programs will accept unofficial transcripts. Your school may have a way for you to download these online without asking the office. But if unspecified, always assume they want an official copy.
