Hi, I still haven’t heard back from Syracuse for Spring 2009 admission. Does this mean I have been denied?

Not necessarily.

I had a problem where Syracuse didn’t receive one part of my application. They didn’t process it.

Long story short, I had to call them a week after notification began to ask them where my response was.

Right now, they are processing the applications that were missing items, or were received late.

Call them on Monday when their office opens.

They are indeed still contacting people.
I turned in everything on time and got an email December 28th saying I got in.
Over break, they have been occasionally calling people to let them know they got in.
Keep checking your phone and email that you gave them.
Call on the 5th, and keep trying when you call!
(It’s probably going to be pretty busy, because they got back to most people around the 28th and then closed, so no one has housing or financial aid.)

Wow, I’m thinking twice about even going if I’m admitted. This is terrible service. What about kids that live far away? How are they about to get to school on a less than a weeks notice. I’m from Ohio and I’m feel horrible for having to keep my family at odds about transportation. I wonder if they are expecting tuition to be paid by the twelve.

I know it’s discouraging, but try to think positively. You’re not the only one who’s tearing his hair out.
