Transfer admissions chances after being academically disqualified?

I was academically disqualified from a UC with a 1.9 gpa last winter, but my community college gpa is a 3.4 with a 3.33 in my desired major. If I applied to a cal state like CSULB and CSUF for the same major (Computer Science), would I stand a chance to get in or is the bad academic standing too big a hurdle in admissions to these schools?

I’m aware the majors are impacted but I just wanted to ask if anyone has any insight into how much bad academic standing at another 4-year institution affects admissions when trying to apply to 4-year universities again?

For the Cal states, if you are in “good standing” at your last college being a community college, you should be fine. You are however ineligible to apply to another UC due to your academic disqualification.

To be admitted to the California State University as an upper-division transfer (UDT) student, you must:

  • have completed a minimum of 60 semester or 90 quarter units of transferable coursework;
  • have an overall college GPA of at least 2.00; your GPA is calculated using all your transfer units attempted. In high-demand majors and campuses a GPA of 2.00 may not be sufficient to be admitted;
  • be in good standing at the last college or university attended. In simple terms, “good standing” means you are eligible to re-enroll at your last college or university;
  • have completed 10 general education courses (30 semester units or 45 quarter units) of basic skills courses, with a grade of C- or better,

But note that many CSU campuses are impacted, and/or have impacted majors where admission thresholds (based on overall prior college GPA) are determined competitively.

CSU Fresno’s transfer admission thresholds for fall 2021 entrants are listed at Fall Transfer Selection - Admissions and Recruitment .

CSU Fullerton does not publish past admission thresholds: Transfer Eligibility Requirements - Office of Admissions | CSUF

CSULB lists higher minimum requirements for some majors for which local area applicants meeting them are automatically admitted, but the admission thresholds for other applicants are determined competitively for remaining space: Fall 2021 Major Specific Requirements for Transfer Students | California State University, Long Beach
