on the uc website it says that you must have completed one “term” at another university. does term mean semester/quarter (~15 credits) or does it mean an entire year? basically how do they define “one term”?

Call them and ask.

It’s hard to interpret it as meaning more than one semester/quarter. At Oxbridge, the root of all academic tradition, that’s what a “term” is. Instead of having Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters, they have Michaelmas, Hilary, and Trinity Terms. So charming!

I don’t think it means that you have to have gone to university in England or Ireland, though.

Where are you transferring from?

Couple points:

You have to have completed a semester/quarter.

You can only enroll starting in the fall, there is no mid year transfer.

I would highly recommend you complete a full year of academic study (A fall semester, apply to the program during your Winter semester)
