<p>I am going to start school at Hunter in the fall, however I don’t want to stay to study in the city. I was accepted to New Paltz but choose not to go because of my Financial Aid. I will like to go there for my 2nd semester of Freshman year. I was just wondering if it is beneficial for me to do that and would it affect credits I get within the first semester</p>
<p>If you transfer to New Paltz after one semester of study, you likely to lose any financial aid from New Paltz. However, federal and state financial aid are safe.
I think it’s better if you take a gap Fall semester and attend New Paltz in Spring. You need to talk to New Paltz to see if that is possible.</p>
